Most of my writing is about my years in the Peace Corps in Paraguay. I was encouraged by the volunteer response to essays I wrote for our volunteer newsletter. Friends in the states think I exaggerate, but my volunteer friends and others who have traveled in developing countries know that my writing is non-fiction. I have had one story published in Travelers' Tales "Hyenas Laughed at Me and Now I Know Why." Most of my essays take a humorous look at life in Paraguay.
