I always tell acquaintences that I don't like to write. I think that it's more of a rebellion against higher education than an actual dislike of the practice. Even so, I seem to have convinced myself. I am skilled at writing opinion pieces and research-based works, but I never cultivated a sense of purpose when it comes to fiction. Since I can remember, I have always told myself stories--fantasies, mysteries, adventures....perhaps this site will help me learn to tell them to others, too.
