I'm originally from the Appalacian mountains of West Virginia, and often go there in memory for my writing material. I left on the first train out for Columbus, Ohio at age 17, the night after my high school graduation. Since then life has been a whirl wind. I was widowed at 27, raised two daughter's without their dad. Attented college at Kent State in the Cleveland area. Met my husband in 1975. We have been married for 35 years. I was a foster mom to 32 little children over a ten year period. I adopted my first grandson. He has cerebral palsy. He is the light of my life. I'm a journal writer. I do poetry and short stories.
