Writing and drawing can be therapeutic. If you see it that way. Which is my case. I have written short stories and poetry for over twenty years. I have overcome many challenges in my life, I am not alone, I know. My intentions are to work through challenges through my writings and poetry. I cringe at calling my writing poetry. This is because I am simply digesting harsh or ugly circumstances through writing about it. "Poet" I am not. That's not who I am or set out to be. I just happen to be facing situations where I was almost helpless and found solace through writing what I am obliged to refer to as poetry.
