Maryann was born and raised in Bozeman, Montana, but she did not grow up on a farm. She lived in the suburbs with her parents, two older brothers, one big sister, and a rather plump cat. Eventually, she went to New York University where she studied psychology and creative writing. She currently lives in New York City where she teaches kids how to write while trying to be funny, write a play, and tell the story of her incredibly exciting life growing up.
