I've been writing stories since I was in first grade, but those really don't count. I finally decided to start taking writing seriously in ninth grade after reading Lord of the Flies. I took a class over the summer and started on so many ideas that I was getting nowhere. I tried focusing on one idea about a group of boys living in a town covered in red dust. A year and a half later, my first short story is a reality, and I’m working on new stuff all the time.
