I wrote my first poem when I was 13, it was about a red clothes peg. From then on, the urge to write consumed me. I would write on my bedroom wall, my clothes (a grungy army jacket), the toilet doors of my school - I couldn't not write. I had a difficult childhood and, as often happens, this led to a difficult kind of life. I went to uni to study philosophy and English lit, but had to leave due to ill health. After I left I wrote an autobiographical book, but I was too scared to send it off. I have come a long way since then and I hope, with the help of this site that I can reveal my writing for others to discover. It might help someone.
