I enjoy writing mostly fantasy/adventure. As a former history teacher I like to include some historical aspect, if I am able, in my writing. Having written for my own personal pleasure for 20 years I have begun to share my stories with others and have received encouragement to take the next step. For writing.com I enjoy writing for the contests that force me to branch out into different genres and topics. I enjoy the idea of writing stories that are safe and enjoyable for all ages. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Clive Cussler, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Lillian Jackson Braun are among my favorite authors.
