My long term writing goal is to complete the novel which I started recently. I got about 5,000 words in, and then decided to take a step back and start a bit slower with short stories, etc. to rebuild my skills, which I feel may have atrophied from lack of use. I have a lot of experience with writing technical documents from work, but not so much with writing fiction & dialogue since high school, which was several years back.
