I write children's poetry and plays. I'm hoping to connect with other writers of children's lit, and I don't know if this is the right place to do that. I recently joined the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. I want to get constructive criticism because my ultimate goal is to get published. I'm a mid-life career changer, having been an elementary school teacher for 24 years, so I'm getting a late start in the publishing world.
