After 31 years teaching English in the public schools of southside Virginia and on the community college level, I retired so that I could get on with my writing career. Now that I've been retired for almost a year, I can't wait to get back to teaching on the college level... but I hope not back to middle schoolers!! I love writing and I can usually find humor in almost every situation! I am a widow, a mother (of 2 grown kids), and now a grandmother.
