I have always written. I can remember the excitement of having my first little stories published in the Kid Stuff pages of the local paper. But somehow, as I grew up, I stopped thinking of myself as a writer, pigeonholed myself into identifying myself with my job, my role as a mother and numerous other things ahead of writing. Writing was something almost clandestine, to be done behind closed doors, without anyone knowing about it. But now I am proud to announce that I am, first and foremost, before I am anything else A WRITER. And now, thanks to the encouragement I've gotten on WDC, I'm a published writer.
