It's a collection of movies from the sci-fi, fantasy, and horror genre. It's pretty much an encyclopedia.

How everything was done. It is really an encyclopedia, but it gives you a written review/plot of each film and rating with stars. So it helps if you are thinking of buying or renting a film and want to know something about it before you buy.

It doesn't include some movies that should be in there. On occassion, I looked up a film I wanted to rent or buy if it wasn't available to rent, or I just looked up movies that I have in my collection to see what they said, and they weren't there.

Watch a few movies.

It is a helpful tool for anyone who is like me and collects horror and sci-fi movies in large quantities.

It's not exactly a sit down and read type of book. It is a sci-fi, fantasy, horror encyclopedia, so you won't enjoy it unless you are really into the stuff.

This book isn't really for light collectors. It's for people who are just getting in to one, two, or all of the genres the book is for and want to know what is out there to look for in adding to their budding collections or viewing time, and for seasoned collectors who are interested in getting some lesser known titles, titles they are unsure of, or just want to know how some pieces in their collections rank. But if you aren't really into it, this book will be a waste of money for you.



Keep in mind that many movies you may look up won't be listed in this book, and probably for good reasons to the author.
