This book delves into the legal and moral issues of voluntary tobacco use, and the lawsuit filed on behalf of a widow of a lung cancer victim. Typical of our justice system, the outcome is fixed, but this time, it's by a juror who knows his way around the law, and around the courtroom, along with a special friend. | ||

Reading enjoyment, only. To take this book seriously would be a mistake since all sides seriously compromise moral and legal issues. | ||

I love how John Grisham writes, and how he draws his readers in by keeping his writing style easy. I love how the main character manilpulates jurors, judge and lawyers alike. | ||

The plot and outcome is a little unbelieveable, even for fiction, when writing on a subject that very much exists in the real world. | ||

John Grisham is a fine author. I enjoy every book he writes, for his ease of readability, and for the fact that he is not afraid to take his background as an ex lawyer and apply it to his writings to expose the legal system for what it really is. | ||

While his works are fiction, John Grisham does make his readers think about what really goes on in the legal system. | ||
