Professor Savant teaches them to use their senses to guide them into a magical dimension filled with flutterbyes other strange exotic creatures. Together with the professor they have an amazing adventure that brings them face to face with the one thing they thought didn't exist, the Whangdoodle.

Children of all ages but mostly those around the ages of 7-13.

The whole idea of using your senses to guide you into a whole new world that you could see, touch, taste, feel and smell just like the real one so that you wonder if it isn't a dream. The plot was well-researched and clearly presented and the action was continuous from beginning to end. Very unique, imaginative story, elegantly written.

There was no sequel.

Read it over, and over again and share it with my nieces and nephew.

Renewed joy in the beauty of fantasy stories and the power of books in general to take you into new dimensions. I also felt it revealed a part of the author in small ways and that was a thrill.

It's an excellent book, a must-read for everyone.

This book is a great introduction to fantasy writing for young ones who have not read a lot in this genre. It's special because it forces the reader to use their imagination by excluding any illustrations except the one on the book cover.
