"Left Behind" is the first in a series of books detailing Armageddon--the end of life on Earth. Based on the Christian Bible, the story follows an airline captain, his daughter, a world-renowned journalist, and a small but significant dignitary from Romania who just might turn out to be the Antichrist. | ||

This book is good for anyone interested in "end of the world" scenarios. Those with an interest or a strong belief in Christianity will likely enjoy it, though people of a different religion may appreciate the authors' opinion of the Christian view of the end of the world. | ||

The idea of Armageddon fascinates me. The authors use Christian scripture to back up many of their sub-plots, which is both frightening and fascinating. The suspense and the inherent sense of evil are mind-blowing. | ||

The book starts rather slowly. I was in the middle of the book before it actually gripped my interest. That's unfortunate, because I'm sure the authors have lost a lot of readers that way. | ||

Like I needed to re-confirm my position on Earth. It sounds corny, but I started wondering where I'd fall if the events in this book took place tomorrow. It's scary. | ||
The author of this Book... | ||
There are two authors of the series. One, Dr. Tim LaHaye, conceived the series. He's a minister, educator, and "prophecy scholar", according to the back cover of the book. The second author, Jerry B. Jenkins, is a renowned author of over 100 books, many of which have made the best-sellers list. | ||
I recommend this Book because... | ||
I think the perspective is interesting. I can't think that anyone isn't interested in what the End of Days (to paraphrase a Schwartzenegger movie) will bring. This book highlights the beginning of the end, and it made me think about the value of mankind. | ||
