  Summary of this Book...

The (mis)adventures of the Wild Dada Ducks, four ostracized high school students. Of course they're misunderstood and the other studets are pathetically narrow-minded and uncultured. They are highly stylish (one wears a black tie with a red fish glued onto it, another wears a banaba on a string around his neck...), and cultured. They make the mistake of secretly adopting Kevin Shapiro (who happens to have the same name as the character in their young adult novel, which is different from all the novels at their school), because of their intervention, Kevin suddenly becomes popular and seizes control of the school...(and that's only the first novel...)

This type of Book is good for...

Anyone who: enjoys odd humor, had a bad and/or silly time of it in high school, likes Daniel Pinkwater and/or Douglas Adams, or wants something fun to read.

  I especially liked...

The chapters of the Dada boys' young adult novel. And the humor. Daniel Pinkwater has the best sense of humor.

  I didn't like...

The book 'Young Adults' is difficult to find, and you will have to buy it used. The first novel 'Young Adult Novel' is in a collection of Pinkwater novels called '5 Novels'.

When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...

Laugh because it was so funny, and cry because it was over.

  This Book made me feel...

Like I'm not, in fact, the oddest person in the world. Daniel Pinkwater is, and I love all his work.

  The author of this Book...

Is a genius. I also recommend: 'The Afterlife Diet', '5 Novels', '4 Novels', 'Lizard Music', actually anything by Pinkwater is very good.

  I recommend this Book because...

It's so delightfully funny and odd and true (somewhat).

I don't recommend this Book because...

As I said, it can be difficult to find, but that is the only draw back.

  Further Comments...

I love this book so much, my handle is the name of one of the characters. Captain Colossal. Please read this book. You won't regret it.
