Kira is a young girl that's mother has just died, leaving her an orphan. As Kira returns home from the Field of Leaving, she realizes that she has been kicked off of the property. Vandara and many other women take her to their version of court. There she is given a task to finish her mother's work as the weaver of the Singer's robe. Then, she realizes that her and her friends hold the future of their village. And they alone can change it.

The way that this book kept you guessing until the end.

Only the fact that the people of this village were harsh.

Did a very good job in teling this book. She made it very emotional and once you start reading it you wil not be able to stop.
