  Summary of this Book...

The Jacobs siblings, Kennedy, Simone, and Derrick have enough going on then the law will allow. This dysfunctional family’s selfish ways leads them down predictable paths when they allow yet another romantic liason separate them.

Kennedy sneaks behind her sister Simone’s back with Simone’s boss, while Simon stabs Kennedy in the back yet again over another man, And Derrick…You’ll have to read about his mess on your own. In most sibling rivalry cases tragedy brings the Jacobs back to each other and on to more productive lives.

This type of Book is good for...

Therefore, I recommend this book to all the Drama Queens out there, who likes a juicy tale filled with many sex scenes, cat fights and drama, drama, drama. It is a great first book for a book club and a great book for a new fiction reader. However, if you want to delve in to a book with more substance and conviction, pass on this one.

  I especially liked...

Here is where Dames shines. She can throw conflict on top of conflict like any soap opera writer can. If you want a dose of the Bold and Beautiful then Dames is a sure bet.

  I didn't like...

Too many minor characters, underdevelopment of major characters and too many major characters in general. Predictable for someone who reads a lot of E.Lynn Harris, Connie Briscoe and EJD. Dames novice writing skills is evident in how she structures the story, uses dialogue and not use minor characters well.

  The author of this Book...

Jamise Dames

  Further Comments...

There is a definite beginning, middle and end, but there is enough stuff going on to warrant a longer novel or another book especially with Miranda’s character, who didn’t serve as a minor character enough to push the story along.
