  Summary of this Book...

This book is an autobiographical memoir of the author's life. Having spent years as an agoraphobic (fear of the marketplace, one who doesn't venture out of their home) who is now a main speaker for the Women of Faith speaking team, Patsy Clairmont speaks to the very real person in each of us. She is all of five feet but her stature through this book makes you realize the stature of possibilities in all of us.

This type of Book is good for...

Encouragement is the best reason for reading this book. The author opens her first chapter with the humor she is known for: "JOB WANTED: Woman seeking inspirational speaking and writing opportunities. QUALIFICATIONS: High school dropout, teenage runaway, and agoraphobic. To read a journey that overcomes all the stated obstacles is good for the soul.

  I especially liked...

"Hope is seeing the impossible emerge out of a broken life." This is the message buried in truth and humor in all of Clairmont's books. I am fond of her ability to laugh at both herself and her fears as she faces them head-on with God by her side and hand-in-hand with the Christ.

  This Book made me feel...

I felt the desire, nay the need to expand my own work in speaking and writing. Patsy often refers to herself as broken. I have learned in my own walk that broken healers are the best possible to offer insight of having felt less than acceptable at a time in their own life.

  The author of this Book...

Patsy Clairmont ranks among the funniest Christian writer's of the day. Her first book, God Uses Cracked Pots and her referral to the title with the remark, "And I'm His visual aide," left me with hurting sides as well as the knowledge that God can indeed use anyone as a vessel no matter their condition.

  I recommend this Book because...

When I had reached the end of my rope, I heard Patsy speaking about her first book on the radio. Her voice and honesty touched me in a way nothing to that point had been able to reach. I clung to her words throughout my own recovery and think of her as a coveted friend with her books as guidebooks to change and growth in my own life.
