Summary of this Book...

The Pentagon holds many secrets, but none are more deadly than what is kept hidden beneath the basement in a cryogenic freeze. It has claws that could cut a man in half and an insatiable appetite for human flesh...and someone just woke it up.

After half a century of sleep, the beast is loose in the very heart of national security-making easy work of its prey. And tracking it through the catacombs of the fortress won't be easy, because this is no ordinary beast...it's a living weapon.

 Further Comments...

I have mixed feelings about this book. I enjoyed the twists and turns as well as the different style of plot than the usual "creature feature" stories.

However..

The begining reminded me of the begining of White Shark by Peter Benchley with it's World War Two twist and all. Also I felt that security at the Pentagon couldn't be THAT weak. How could something not be found till now. The idea that the canister was "knocked loose" because of the 9/11 airliner carsh into the building was a nice touch. It could have been developed more however and still had kept dignity to the families.

This story is suitable for a quick fun read.
