  Summary of this Book...

How do you define family? Leigh is a teenager when she gets pregnant by her flamboyant teacher, Fowler. Unfortunately, he can't handle the pressure and ditches her. Years pass, and Leigh marries a wonderful man and has two more kids, but she cannot forget Fowler.

Fowler is the love of her life. Suddenly, without much warning, he comes back into this life Leigh has carefully constructed. Does she leave her family for the intense passion she has with Fowler or will her family be able to accept Leigh as she is, flaws and all?

This type of Book is good for...

people who like to read books about dysfunctional families.

  I especially liked...

how the author made Leigh have flaws. Leigh was not perfect. She was an unwed teen mom who managed to pull herself up from nothing and create a normal family life.

  I didn't like...

the cardboard cutout that was Leigh's husband. Since the book was told from Leigh's point of view, the reader never really sees just what is going through her husband's mind. I also had trouble visualizing the scenery; the author didn't seem to describe places very well.

When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...

cry. The ending is sad, yet happy, because everyone is able to move on, finally.

  This Book made me feel...

sad, yet uplifted.

  The author of this Book...

is Elizabeth Richards. This book is her first novel.

  I recommend this Book because...

it is interesting to see how people cope with situations like this. What would I do in a similar situation? Would I hold up under the pressure?
