Princess Peach is sitting in the garden one day, picking flowers, when she is suddenly kidnapped by Bowser. Mario hears the commotion and dashes out of his house, straight to Bowser's Keep.

On defeating Bowser (this is the first major fight in the game, so it's not exactly a spoiler), an extraterrestrial being shaped like a sword crashed through the sky and straight into Bowser's Keep, destroying the bridge and making it inaccessible without traveling all throughout the Mushroom Kingdom.

Also, after every major boss battle, you find a star-shaped object, and there are seven in total... What could those be?

Anyone, really. It doesn't have the best graphics by today's standards (it did for its own time, though), but that's not what's important. It has comedy, a good story, and is a very fun RPG game.

The characters are very likable, and there are plenty of plot twists. You cannot go through this game and not end up loving one of the main characters.

The only thing I can say I don't like is that there isn't a direct sequel. It is my favorite game of all time, and there is really nothing to follow it up with. Not that it doesn't have excellent replay value. I've gone through it at least 30 times.

Immediately play it again. Excellent replay value.

Today's games simply can't compete. Sure, they're pretty, and some are even fun. But they just don't make 'em like they used to.

Is a genius.

It's fun for all ages, and has something for everyone. Comedy, good story, fun to play, what more could you ask for?

The only thing people today might not like about it is the graphics. Personally, I like them. But, being a SNES game, the graphics aren't the greatest.

Don't buy the game from Amazon.com, you can get it for less than $40, or whatever it currently is. Check Ebay or your local used video game store.
