  Summary of this DVD...

Ben Stiller leads an all-star cast including Robin Williams and Dick Van Dyke in this hilarious blockbuster hit. When good-hearted dreamer Larry Daley (Stiller) is hired as night watchman at the Museum of Natural History, he soon discovers that an ancient curse brings all the exhibits to life after the sun sets. Suddenly, Larry finds himself face-to-face with a frisky T. rex skeleton, tiny armies of Romans and cowboys and a mischievous monkey who taunts him to the breaking point. But with the help of President Teddy Roosevelt (Williams), Larry may just figure out a way to control the chaos and become a hero in his son's eyes. Boasting jaw-dropping special effects and laugh-out-loud moments, Night at the Museum is your ticket to nonstop fun!

This type of DVD is good for...

Ages 9 yrs and up

  I especially liked...

Learning a bit of factual history along the way. The suspense of seeing the characters come to life

  I didn't like...

Ben Stiller's character was, well, Ben Stiller. There really wasn't much development with his character too much other than the fact that he realises his greatness in the end.

When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...

Watch Happy Feet.

  This DVD made me feel...

I felt Disney after watching this. It's a real Disney sort of movie, where everything comes to life. There is quirky humor from Owen Wilson, which is great and slapstick humour by Ben Stiller and his encounters with the huns etc.

  The cast of this DVD...

Ben Stiller leads the way to all star cast. They even have greats such as Mickey Rooney and Dick Van Dyke.

  I recommend this DVD because...

It's light and fun to watch with the family. Not much to think about. One of those movies that follows a predicatable plot. One for the kiddies. If you want your kids to get some interest in History. Here's you chance to get them hooked.

I don't recommend this DVD because...

If you like a detailed plot that makes you want to think. Or for the serious type.

  Further Comments...

I found my nine year old loved it. She watches it over and over again. And has googled some of the musuem characters for more information. She has a whole dossier on Attila the Hun now.
