I loved the rich descriptions. I have never read anything like this. Each sentence spoke of the countless hours the author spent researching. The characters were brought to life in a way I have never before experienced. Donna Gillespie successfully made me feel like I was in the Coliseum with Auriane, following her every move and feeling her every emotion.
