When a woman is handcuffed to a bed to satisfy her husband's sexual fetish, she finds herself trapped in this situation after he suffers a fatal heart attack during the act. She also realizes that there is no one for miles to hear her scream. From that point, she fights two battles. The first is to find a way out of her predicament; the second is to keep her sanity.

Adult entertainment. Brief but graphic descriptions of sexual organs and a stray dog eating a corpse put this book well beyond child entertainment.

The woman's near loss of sanity. The situation King created makes such a thing very likely.
