Greg Heffley is your average middle schooler, lured with all kinds of peer pressures and attempts to be cool. He schemes and plots with his best friend, Rowley, and experiences the many ups and downs that go with adolescence and discovering who you are.

Kids young and old.

  I especially liked...

I loved the laugh-out-loud humor.

  I didn't like...

There wasn't much about this book that I didn't like, except maybe some of the language. It isn't appropriate for children under the age of eight years and then only with adult explanation as to why it wouldn't be appropriate to use the same language in everyday vocabulary.

reminiscent of days long ago when I, too, was in middle school and trying to find a place to fit in.

tapped into the mind-set of a middle schooler quite well!

it's a great quick read and funny, too!

some of the language may not be appropriate.

The language isn't over the top, it just doesn't feel appropriate for teaching kids how to treat each other.
