Summary of this eBooks...
Versim is a virtual reality world created by an entertainment company. Real world people can immerse themselves within the virtual world to experience what the principal characters experience. One virtual world, though, is about to be "flipped" and Hark Cole must do something to stop it!
This type of eBooks is good for...
fans of science fiction, virtual reality and transhumanism will like this book!
I especially liked... | ||
The "world within a world" feel to this book was enjoyable, and it kept me guessing until the end!
I didn't like... | ||
It took me about halfway through the book to really understand what was going on. In a way, I didn't mind (as I don't necessarily need everything spelled out for me in a book; I like some mystery), but there was a time or two where I considered abandoning the book. I'm very glad I didn't!
When I finished n/a this eBooks I wanted to...
read more! The author has another book, Bleedover, that takes place within the same world! I'll definitely be reading that one soon!
I recommend this eBooks because...
it's a fun read! (Once you understand the terminology, like bleedover, Rend-V, Voxyprog and Sersavant, to name a few)
Further Comments... | ||
The book also touches on an issue of transhuman rights. There are characters created within the virtual reality worlds. They think and feel and exist just like "real" people, but when the virtual world ends, they disappear. Do they have a right to live? Are they "real" people, too?
