I'm so glad you stopped in to see what I've been up to lately. Well, promotion seems to be keeping me busy these days. I loved reading time travel romance and now I've been fortunate enough to have my own time travel published. It's a great story and a wonderful journey for the characters involved and it was a joy to write. Whether I decide to write a sequel is yet to be determined. I guess I will leave that up to the readers and should they want to see another novel for Taima and Kate, they will let me know. I hope you, as a reader, will drop me a line also. Olivia, thanks for commenting! You answers are interesting to me. You fall into the lower percentage of how readers view covers, meaning most DO judge a book by the cover. Thank You!

Maybe I'm naive, but somehow I don't understand the fuss (of that blog commenter)?

I guess you're referring to your genre, time travel romance. I admit that I'm no expert or a reader of that genre, but if curiosity would strike and I'd pick a book with that genre it depends other things than the cover if I buy it or not.

When I'm picking up a book - ANY book - I categorously read the blurb and if it appeals to me the first pages / chapter to get a "feel" for it. If I like what I read I buy it, if not, not. The cover doesn't influence my choice at all.

However if I'd be given two books and had to choose by their cover and the choice between a book with a couple on the cover or the petroglyphs the latter motive would stir my curiosity more because, let's admit it, couples on the cover of romance novel is conventional while petroglyphs are not and therefore intriguing to me.

However I'd proceed like described above with both books.
