I was covering this weekend (Satuday, Sunday, Monday) for a fellow worker who's son was struck by a car and dragged for a long while. It brought back the memory of when I was struck by a car while walking to work on April 2, 2006. I know the pain that boy is going through and although his injuries are far worse than mine and will need more time to recover, the trauma will be so much alike. The flash backs, the scenes in movies that other people laugh at, the news reports of pedestrians being hit and often times killed take on new meanings.
They serve as reminders that life is too short to take for granted and the world just does not seem to take enough time to slow down and even look both ways before barreling on to their next destination that they must get to as quickly as possible.
Haste be the day when we can answer the question in the title in this way.
Life is precious and needs to be taken seriously. Life is a gift of God and only He knows when it is our time to be taken up into the heavenlies again. Life is too short to spend it in petty arguments and meaningless spats that will ultimately be worth naught save another incident to remember and fret over in the future. Life is worth the living and may we all live it to the fullest for we never know when our last day on earth is or when our lives will be drastically and dramatically changed in the blink of an eye.

 

May the Lord keep you and bless you.

Covered the globe with music that changed lives.
Here and now, after your passing, controversy reigns.
All I can remember is the passion you had for your art,
Even the single gloved signature became a part of society.
Let the world roil, rant, and rage. All this writer knows is that

And in the midst of the controversy, turn a deaf ear.
Couple your love for this performer with the
Knowledge that none of us are perfect and our faults make us human
See his family, his chldren, and his love for music.
Oh stop the finger pointing, the accusations, the speculations.
Now is the time to let him rest in peace for it is apparent that in life

Please pray for Rhonda and I as we travel to Garland to attend the funeral of Rhonda's high school friends mother. On the eve of Father's day she will be buried and it's even worse as Norah's father is no longer alive as well.
She was a Christian so will be in heaven with the Lord but those left behind do need our prayers and support.

I wrote a Jingle called The Summer Aisle and I showed it to my boss yesterday. Last night when I got to work I was surprised to see it is now on a side panel in the summer aisle.

There are times when I just can't sleep and this happens to be one. But I do have to work tonight so I must lie down and call it a time out.
By the way, in case you wondered why "Beloved" it is how I address a group and whoever happens to read these little snippets of my life are important and loved by God and therefore they are worthy to be loved by others. You are beloved.




 

Beloved you are important to God; therefore you are important to me. I've been back and forth between Facebook and here this morning and feel a bit like a yo yo.
I've managed to do some reviewing, some email answering, and even putting a Domestic Violence Awareness Month write in the Static Items.

Today I opened my email to see a message that just floored me. I had written "Beautiful Wonder" a while back and was blessed to receive 1st place where I presented it in the myspace community of Beautiful Wonder. I placed it up here and a series of reviews resulted in a revision that now has a yellow ribbon awardicon.

I was flabbergasted and floored and then grateful for this because it was made possible in part by the wonderful reviews I received from Simply Positive Review group and they kept on encouraging me with each successive email I opened (7 reviews initially that resulted in this revision).

I will be forever grateful to these people and to the Lord for the gift of writing that I love so much. It is an honor to receive this awardicon and the praise and glory I turn back to the Lord for it is HIS Beautiful Wonder world that inspired the write in the beginning.
Remember you are important to God; therefore you are important to me.

The work thing is intense and am usually so wiped out it's hard to get here due to two other sites I maintain in myspace and facebook. Hey how about a petition to make 48 hours in a day?
That might free up some computer time, What do you think?

Work was rough last night but not in a bad sort of way. The work I do is a blessing too as I am able to be a ministry to some who may be having a bad day. As a cashier, I'm kind of like a bartender in that the customers will talk to me for a few minutes and I assure them they will be prayed for and I follow up with them. Why? Becuase they are more more than customers. They are God's creation and are important in His sight and therefore they are just as important to me. Now you know why I end most of my messages like that.
For me customer service means that you are not afraid to get your hands dirty a bit if you know someone is having a hard time. You take the extra seconds and they don't feel so alone and in so doing this you win loyalty for the company.
You are important to God; therefore you are important to me.
