50 years is a very long time though-I prefer (in the great Romantic Tradition) to think it was one individual, every year over the years, now gone on to the Night Shift himself or herself (sigh)

Interesting...I didn't know this, but perhaps it was someone from the museum itself? Or a relative of Poe, and it was carried down. You know the younger generation is a bit lazy...perhaps they grew tired of doing it.

I guess it is just like with Elvis. People attach themselves to another and their hearts break when they have to be called 'home'. Yet, but what better place, so instead of mourning, I choose to honor him by remembering the good he has done...the 'gifts' he has honored us with through his music. Just my thought!
