         Happy Saturday! It's hard to believe so much time has transpired since I awoke this fine morning... Yet it is now afternoon!

         I prayed, read my bible, and have been online looking for and bidding on jobs. Yeah for computers!

         My kitty is gazing out the window, listening to the birdies sing; and I am about to wash my hair and get out of the house for a bit.

         Have a wonderful day and take a walk in the sunshine!

         Hope is in the air. I received a call about a reception job this morning, which didn't pan out... but at least I was called. I also received an e-mail about an online transcription job, but since they're on the other side of the world, it won't begin until Monday. Also got a call from a local man who lives in this same apartment complex. He is installing security systems in homes and businesses and is in need of sales people. I am not a sales person, but he asked for a copy of my resume and said he may need me in the future. He will share my information if he comes across anyone who is hiring.

         Talked with my Uncle Gene as well, which is always encouraging.

         I've sent out a few resumes this morning via e-mail and regular mail. Maybe something will spark.

         I've been out most of the day. Had an appointment with Ecumenical Ministries to see about getting help with utility bills and possibly rent. I haven't been out of work long enough yet to get any help. They rescheduled me an appointment for Monday, May 2. Hopefully, I can get some help then.

         I met a very nice lady lawyer today named, Wendy Pierce. She sat with me for about an hour today even though there is nothing she can do for me. May God bless Wendy Pierce.

         Today was pretty good... My money came in from the State of Alabama and I was able to pay my telephone and internet bill, which buys me a little more time to get it together.

         I've got an appointment tomorrow with an attorney and an appointment Thursday to see about getting help with my utility bills and maybe rent until I can find work.

         I look unto the hills from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, maker of heaven and earth.

         Filled out my application for food stamps today, took it to the local office and dropped it off. Apparently, they will review my application and call me to set up an interview. I only hope my telephone is still connected when they call.

         I am also trying to find online work I can do from home. I can only hope something pans out soon.

         Today, someone let it slip that my sister had a cookout yesterday, Easter Sunday yet I was not invited... though jobless with no food in the house. She sent me a message that said, Happy Easter. A lot of thought must have gone into that message.

         I am now remembering Christmas and Thanksgiving... Same deal. Of course, at least I had a job then. But I was lonely --- all alone.

         I release any and all animosity; yet I write this down for a memorial.

         Even if they didn't want to see me, they could have at least made me a plate. (Shaking my head now.) How sad is that?

         In as much as you have done it to the least of these, you have done it unto me..., says the Lord.

         Today was better than yesterday, at least busier. I received a call from a temporary service and then went in and filled out their application and completed their "data entry evaluation." That was positive.

         Mom called while I was there and invited me over for a catfish sandwich. So, I stopped by on the way home. She also sent me home with some food, thank God. I will be filling out an application for food stamps since I have no money to replenish my food supply. I'll give the local office a call in the morning just to make sure they're in since they were closed today. I'll make a trip there tomorrow.

         Wednesday, I have an appointment with a disability lawyer. Then Thursday, I have an appointment with the local assistance program to see if they can help me with my utility bill and any other bills... Apparently, they do not help with the phone bill; so until I get some money in here I risk my service being turned off.

         Anyway... I have more hope today. So, that's good.

         Awoke at about 8:30 this morning. I watched The Exorcism of Emily Rose on AMC last night before going to bed. I found it inspirational.

         Spoke to my mom twice this morning. They're getting ready to go to Sam's Club to pick up some things.

         I am feeling better about my whole situation as I wonder if this is not God's purpose for me in this hour. He wants us to know Him in the power of his resurrection and in the fellowship of His suffering. Knowing that, makes the burden easier to bear. Prior to all of this, I had been praying that I wanted Him to take care of me, that I wanted to be in His perfect will, wanted to fulfill my purpose on earth. Now I am sure this is all a part of that.

         It's hard to wait when you are a planner. I like to be ready for whatever is coming. Guess I learned that from being in the Girl Scouts. A Girl Scout is always prepared.
