This is the oldest item in my port, ladies and gentleman, and it's something that I plan to resurrect as my blog. It began as a "soap opera" story about why I got the name Quaddy, but I am now turning it into my blog to keep everyone updated, as I know they do. It's now just my ramblings and thoughts.

Welcome to my crazy world.

6.  The Winter ConcertID #140012
Posted: 12-27-2001 @ 1:23 pm EST

Ok, you know that orchestras have to have concerts, so why are you so surprised that I am telling you about it. Most of it is going to be about the concert itself, but some might include Bob, Joe, and Steve. Ok, here goes...

It was the Monday before we got out for Winter Break and we had a concert. The concert was a combination band and orchestra concert, so we all knew it was going to kick a**. Well, the orchestra was sixth up, so, we had a while to watch. Bladdy bladdy blah, band plays, bladdy blah, side little acts, bladdy blah, we get on stage. Ok, after the really good act before us, they opened up the curtain and we began. And, boy, was I on! I got all the notes, even the ones on the song that I always messed up on! Best part is, Steve messed up, so I have something to hold over his head. Heehee. When we got off stage, I waled around with my best guy friend, Will(yes, that is his real name), and talked and stuff. We go out for the fanale, play America the Beautiful, and go home.

Great concert, I'm telling you. I'm sorry, I know it's vague, but to describe the whole thing, it would be as long as 'War and Peace'. For the first time this year, I said something to Bob and did not get an 'I don't care' or a 'You are the strangest child I have ever met' kinda look. I made friends with a girl that I hadn't talked to much before. Steve messed up and then tried to cover up for it(heehee, can you say Torture the Senior?), and Joe kept looking at me while playing this really hard, but beautiful song, to warm up. Of course, I was watching him play it, but not because of the Square Factor, but because the song was beautiful and rich, so, he don't have nuttin on me! YAY!!!

Ok, I'm gonna go now. I have to kill Sappho for not adding to her journal and for not coming on at all this Winter Break. I know she didn't go anywhere, so there is no excuse! Ok, buh bye.

5.  Well, I'll tell you what I have noticedID #138458
Posted: 12-15-2001 @ 10:46 pm EST

Bob keeps staring at me, only this time, it's more steady. Every time I turn to look at the bases, his eyes are on me. It's starting to get freaky.

Joe glances at me from time to time, but the only time I can see that he is looking at me is during lunch. He'll be talking to his friend and he'll be leaning in my direction to talk to him/her and he'll glance at me every few seconds. Nothing at all like Bob, though, Bob's just gettin freaky.

Steve has gotten much friendlier now that he sees that I have talent at my instrument. Now that I am getting most of the notes, I am fine in his eyes. Recently, he's actually been talking to me! GASP!!! He'll actually say hi back when I greet him everyday! Oh my God, the world is coming to an end!

So, Bob is beginning to scare me with the constant staring, Joe is normal(thank you Lord), and Steve is much more friendly and not as much of a showoff anymore. Maybe miracles can occur! If Steve isn't showing off anymore, I know that there is a God! I must go pray now!::walks off to go to a church::

4.  Sappho created her journalID #136661
Posted: 12-4-2001 @ 9:09 pm EST

Just thought I'd let you all know that. Boy, i'm tired. My involvement in so many things is really starting to get to me. And all of them are fricken required, except for mentoring, but I get service hours for doing that, so I'm not gonna stop. Well, I have no news whatsoever about the three guys. I've been too tired to even notice their existance, so, for a while, there might not be any updates, unless Sappho decides to write what she notices.

3.  Day of the PlayID #135571
Posted: 11-29-2001 @ 7:32 pm EST

Hiya folks! Today, I got to see a preview of my school play. Twice, nonetheless! The first time I went, I was second row, center and the second time, way in the back. Needless to say, I liked it better up front. Another thing was, Silent Bob was in the pit, playing the music for the play. If I leaned two inches up, or two inches back, I had a very clear view of him. But, as I love theater, I spent the whole time watching the play. Obviously, my friend, who was sitting next to me(not Sappho), was watching both the stage and the pit because halfway through the preview, she tapped me on the shoulder. When I turned to talk to her, she pointed to Bob and said, "Hey, that kid keeps looking at you! If he's not playing music, he's watching the play and glancing at you." Leaning back and looking at him out of the corner of my eye, I saw that, indeed, he was looking at me. Guess, as Sappho puts it, Silent Bob has a Silent Crush. Now, all I have to do is figure out what the little blonde thing is to him.

She's about my height, thin, blonde, and a sophomore, just like silent Bob. One thing you should now about me is that I am both over-weight and muscular, so I look like a really powerfull football player. That's why I don't think that any of the 3 guys like me. Well, the Blonde thing is always with Bob. If they can be together, they are and they are always talking and stuff. Thing is, they don't look like they are going out. Of course, I wouldn't know, so, oh well. Basically, there are three choices, one- they are related and really close, two- they aren't realated, but are really close, and three- they are going out. If it's the last one, I'm going to kill someone because that would mean that there is something really wrong with me, to have a guy going out with a tall, thin blonde staring at me, a tall, not so thin, brunette. Oi! Now I'm confused.

2.  Guess what happened today in school?ID #135400
Posted: 11-28-2001 @ 9:32 pm EST

Yes, it happened. Something big happened today! Oh my God, I'm so excited! No, none of the guys asked me out. Like that's ever gonna happen. Remember, I'm the one who doesn't think they like me. If you wanna hear about them actually liking me, send an e-mail to sapphireg and she'll explain the whole thing. Pretty soon, she'll have her own journal to write in. But, until then, just pester her with e-mails. I'm telling you, she loves getting them. She's addicted to this site, almost as much as I am! Oh, well.

By the way, nothing special happened today. I didn't talk to any of the 3 guys-in fact, I didn't see Silent Bob today because he was doing something for my school. But, 'Steve' didn't say one word to me today. I mean, I'm sure he heard me explaining how I killed my leg yesterday, but that's about it. Joe Cool, well, he looked at me a couple of times, but that's because I had to walk in front of him several times. Overall, this was a boring day. Note to self:remember to hate Wednesdays from now on.

1.  Why am I quadrilateral girl?ID #135125
Posted: 11-26-2001 @ 9:50 pm EST
Edited: 11-26-2001 @ 10:37 pm EST

Ok, sapphireg hasn't made her half of this thing yet, but I'm adding anyway. So, many of you are probably wondering why I am quadrilateral girl. No, it has nothing to do with some stupid math project, but the soap-operaesk life I am holding, according to Sappho up there. This is why she decided to give me the name Quadrilateral girl...

It all started, what, 3 weeks ago? Yeah, three weeks ago, at the most. I told her, in a joking manner, that I had two guys in love with me. I explained to her that Silent Sophomore had been looking at me a lot over the last couple of weeks(before the 3 week thing) and that Joe Cool Junior(don't ask about the fricken names!) had been glancing at me quite a bit, too. Staring at me sometimes, almost absent mindedly. Of course, I didn't actually think they liked me, but Sappho(not her real name people, just her handle) was sure that they were, what's the word, infatuated with me. Of course, I didn't believe her, but I let her have her fun with it.

Pretty soon, she gave me the name Triangular girl because I was in a love triangle, of sorts. Junior boy liked me and was friends with Silent Bob(the sophomore), who also liked me. And, what's more, I'm attracted to them as well. Hey! Why do you think I noticed them staring at me? I'd just be looking in that direction(so I could see them out of the corner of my eye, but not actually be looking at them) and I'd see them staring at me. After a while, I did start to believe Sappho with these things, but then, their friend, and my stand partner in orchestra, Show-Offy Senior for this journal, started acting all weird on me. He'd play a really hard song that he knew that I couldn't play(my intrument is the cello) and then smile when I told him to stop. Of course, he'd stop, but, then, just to annoy me, he'd start up again. That's about all he'd do, so I didn't really think he was attracted to me, but, once again, Sappho said that someone was infatuated with me. So, I became Quadrilateral girl.

So, basically, this journal is here to talk about my soap opera of a love life that Sappho has placed upon my shoulders. Oh, and, if you ever e-mail her for any reason, say "Hey, Man-Woman, from Quaddy," for me. Thanks. Now, to make this easier, I'm gonna give you this little chart, as if any of you are interested in reading this, but, what the heck, I'll put it on anyway. Here you go...

Journal Name: Silent Bob
Grade: Sophomore
Attractiveness on a scale from 1-10: TEN!!!!!
Description of why Sappho thinks he likes me: Every time I look in that direction or even right at him, he's staring at me. I know I'm not that funny lookin, so, I think it is kinda strange that he stares so damn much. But, I still don't think he's attracted to me(ok, I admit it, I'm a pessimist).

Journal Name: Joe Cool
Grade: Junior
Attractiveness 1-10: 9(he's pretty good looking, to me anyway. Of course, Sappho thinks he's the best looking out of all three guys)
Reason he 'likes' me: Like Bob up there, he does look at me, but he's much more discreet about it then oh Silent one(Bob). Sometimes, he'll be staring at me and I'm looking right at him Sometimes, I don't even think he realizes that I'm looking at him. And sometimes, I'll be talking to someone near him and he'll just keep fricken looking at me. (It was him I noticed looking at me, first.)

Journal Name: Show-Off Steve(don't ask)
Grade: Senior
Attractiveness: Well, his eyes are really pretty, and sometimes, they get this soft, insecure look in them and he'll be an 8, but, as soon as I come near(which is basically until he sees me come into the orchestra room), they'll get this official, superior look in them and he goes down to a 5. What I mean by the official look is that he looks like a teacher, like he has to be all superior to help me when I make a mistake. I hate that look! It makes him look so damn arrogant.
Why he 'likes' me: When I am sitting next to him(he's my stand partner after all), talking to the person behind me, suddenly he'll break out in this really difficult song that I'd hate, even if I could play it and thenlook out of the corners of his eyes at me. I'll say something to the kid behind me about "If my stand partner here'll stop with the song he insists on playing, maybe we could actually have a proper conversation." He'll smile and then stop for a couple minutes and then, out of the blue, will start up again. It's like that everyday and that's the only time the soft, friendly look comes about him and he goes up to an 8. As soon as the director steps onto the podium, however, he puts on the official look and stops instantly. Serious look back, he goes down to a 5.

WOW! Looks like I have the most info on Show-Off Steve up there! I guess that it's probably because he's the only one I can actually sit and watch. Joe Cool up there sits behind me and Silent Bob sits diaganal and back from me, so I can't really observe them as closly as I can with Steve. But, I'll try and get more info on Joe and Bob up there.

Ok, that's all for today. But, I'll try and add on days where there is stuff to add. I have another journal where you can look for other stuff related to my life, but I'll write in this one much oftener. Ok, bye!
