From Bill Rowe's book - Danny Williams, War With Ottawa
Many funny lines, but this one I found very funny from Stuart Mills who Bill quoted in the book.

"Conservatives are not necessarily stupid, but most stupid people are conservative."

Stuart Mills (British philosopher 1806-1873)

...
Sitting in worry, one concern then the next;
No resolution to format, just running the text.
The blindfold is locked, absent the key,
I've lost who I am, I've lost why to be.

In the ravaging cruelness of time,
Blind to all effort, stagnant the rhyme.
Forfeited the love, once thought was mine,
To unworthy foulness I weep to find.

Gut wrenching heartache calls in the morn,
Before the day starts the blindfold secured.
Regardless the ache, or pain in my head,
I'll worry unfounded 'til the day that I'm dead.

I think about the ways and woos
I think about those times that go.
About the misery and the shame,
About the childish selfish ways.
I think of love and passion too
The deepest wish to help with tears for you.
All I ever mustered was nothing
Not enough, to rob that evil robber
From taking your lovely kind life and worth inset.

I see the light through the trees, I see your spirit there.
I wonder where it's always been; so close and yet so far.

...
Circle of Light

The brightness of her light, warmed my life it seemed.
A breath of love, a vision I had just not seen.
Spectacle of love, cast etching forever to be.
Soothed by woman's kind caress; a heart touching dream.

I shutter so close to her fine being.
Shy in fright, brings her dislike; I'm forced to quickly flee.
Where love and care, shed many tears for the girl that was unseen.
The flesh, her sweet words, exchanged passion stirred; a day walked softly in turn.

A thin dress fluttering in the day's light breeze.
Eyes of wisdom, faint whispers of her self emit without saying.
She lives words that seize the heart without sound.
Whispering away the ills that are said, and the pain only a woman can heal.

Solice soul understanding, a bonding of strength none could tear;
Rage ripping, unfounded concern instead, where the tide obeys her every wish.
Touching her love in sorrow so often; gripping thoughts of bringing kindness.
Love and light, to heal the ill-fated man I'd been.

Feed a love starved man, who cries for your touch, just to feel need.
The sky, and the sunshine, bathe those in warm joy.
I will carry you from any fears; from whatever you want to flee.
Being the knight, or the prince, or proud to admit what I'd be.

Her grace finds the love that so long has been kneaded.
So many times changing, like that well known chameleon.
So manic in choosing the colour it raves.
I look in her eyes, the light twinkles countless times more.

In a silent touch, a life warmth true - insured.

...
She sits,weeps, and wonders why,
Life that she lives makes her always cry.
Her tears fall like a streaming river,
Wetting her cheeks, making her wither.

Her heart tearing sorrow of moment's her's,
Captured in a slyness so cold in unworth.
But the tears still fall, still soaking the face,
Tears of the moment, pounding bloods pace,

Call tears of sorrow for the still fragile heart.
As the day fades from then to now, gone the dark.
Her tear filled eyes, now clear, wiped dried.
That thought that caused her such alarm, such jive

No more the tear rivers dance.
Sadness seized with no concern,
Has withered no more that slyness yearned.
The sun can warm the coldest heart,

The coldest house, the coldest yard.
A little warmth will quell the pain,
From returning to her a set in stain.
She has seen it once, and won't live it again.

Those tears that fell as she judged her worth,
Gave her a value more than great riches on earth.

...
I thought of you again today, and wished to hold your hand,
Life can be a painful place, a cold and dreadful land.
Without a loving soul to hug, and wipe our tear stained face,
Where a little touch of care helps light that darkened place.

I wonder how your heart rests; when, where, and why?
The star filled nights light the path to where we'll meet on high.
I'll be in eager wait to see your rustling dress above your lovely knees.
To hold your hand in mine, and trace your lips as gentle as I can be.

I'll be the man to hold your hand so you'll know the joy of life is free.
Just from the gentle support of love that makes us long for each.
Gentle time, that loving land, where on high we're touching hands.
A kind caress can ease your pain, that eases pain in me.

...
I thought about this morning, in thought of gentle dreams,
Where the sun does shine so warmly, and the birds in harmony sing.
This hour not far past noon, the sun's shine starts to recede.
Strolling in lush garden's, past the flowers blooming green.

Wisps of fragrant lilac, aroma fuels the dream,
Where the softness touches life, and it's beauty touches me.
Moments shining wonder never thought to be
Learning secrets of this self, in this fragrant frame I'm free.

Glance my watch to see, dream moments revealed to me,
Hand's that mark time that's gone, have not moved since the rhyme began.

...
If they only knew,
The life I've lived,
Dark days past blue.
Where sorrows fall
Whispering to be heard,
To be seen.
To be learned.
