*The published novel is rated "R", containing graphic violence, erotica, and so on.*

"A DOORWAY TO HEARTS" begins with the encounter of young Trent Walker and Lakota child Blazing Star at the Missouri Riverbank. They form a swift bond that grows throghout the years, but is threatened to be destroyed by extreme prejudice, betrayal, the Battles of Rosebud and Bighorn, and more. Following their hearts and capturing their mutual dream of unity between their races doesn't come easily and without extravagant prices to be paid, leaving both to wonder if their bond is powerful enough to survive such hardships.

An Indian! A real, honest to goodness Indian...the first thoughts young Trent Walker had when first encountering the arrogant Lakota child Blazing Star on the Missouri riverbank. After a brief exchange of words, the two rapidly discover they have much in common and become secretive friends due to the differences between their people. As they mature into adults, Trent and Blazing Star find that their dream of mutual peace is threatened by extreme prejudice, betrayal, and numerous other obstacles. Following their hearts becomes more difficult, and their dream more elusive. Can even a camaraderie as powerful as theirs survice such ordeals, or will it be severed?

6.  NOTHING LEFT TO LIVE FORID #439673

I’ve nothing left to live for since you left me behind
Nothing left to strive for, you were my peace of mind
Going on doesn’t come as easily as most deem it to be
Did they realize you were more than just a best friend to me?
I’ve nothing left to live for, no one who seemingly shares the pain
Only our cherished memories keep me trudging along again
You were my immortal, only the Good Lord and you
You were my inspiration, what we shared was true
I’ve nothing left to live for, the fight in me is gone
Only faith that things will become easier keep me alive and strong
I don’t have a death wish, it’s just that I feel numb inside
For a major portion of my heart collapsed when you died
I’ve nothing left to live for, no strength to fight the tears
When recalling all of the good times we shared throughout the years
I know our hearts will forever go on, yet still as hard as I try
The tears never diminish, all I seem to do these days is cry
I’ve nothing left to live for, although I know you’re in a better place
The pain I feel within will be felt until my dying day
A broken heart, a troubled mind, and a bleeding soul
Are what was left behind when you had to go
I’ve nothing left to live for except knowing you’d want that for me
And the realization that we’ll meet again, that it’s our destiny
No, I don’t have a death wish, only feel a loneliness and pain
That is only alleviated knowing one day we’ll meet again

The attractive Lakota's dark eyes narrowed menacingly as he stared at the unconscious bluecoat whom had been deserted by his troop. Revenge on his mind, it was decided he would embellish on what had been observed by he and Gray Cloud. Sha, Blazing Star would lose more than anticipated, he thought, putting his diabolical scheme into full motion.
Her loathing for all Indians due to what the Apaches had done to her family years ago prevented Kristy from hearing Trent's words that all men should be merited for worthiness, not the color of their skin. Never would she accept her husband's ideals as being realistic.
Sorry my fellow authors. The rest remains a mystery!

Trent's deep blue eyes focused upon the gorgeous jade-eyed woman he had just rescued from the Grizzly, and he knew without a doubt he would wed her one day soon. Beautiful wasn't the word for Kristy Whittaker, he thought as he carried her away from the bear's dead carcass.
Unaware they had been spotted, Trent and Blazing Star's secret would soon be exposed and make following their hearts even more difficult.
"Follow your heart, it will lead to salvation"...or will it lead to Blazing Star and Trent's ultimate defeat?

Not Trent! Blazing Star has a difficult time believing his childhood comrade could be capable of the heinous crime Walking Wind and Gray Cloud claimed to have observed, but vows his friend will pay for it threefold! An extravagant price will be paid, the handsome Lakota swears...a steep one indeed! Following his heart is ignored, but the powerful signals sent despite the felony Trent has been accused of committing.

An Indian! A real honest to goodness Indian...was the first thought that crossed young Trent Walker's mind when he first encountered the young and arrogant Lakota Blazing Star by the Missouri riverbank in the 1800's. Their encounter swiftly progresses to what becomes a powerful camamraderie, but only once the two boys agree to keep that friendship a well guarded secret due to the prejudices their people feel for one another. But that isn't the only problem the two encounter as they strive for mutual peace. Trent and Blazing Star's bond is threatened when Walker becomes a U.S. cavalryman in an effort to glean information that might enable he and Blazing Star to capture their dream of peace, and is betrayed by his people while on an attack of the Ogalala on the Powder River that proves to be disastrous to he and his Lakota comrade's camaraderie. "Follow your heart, it will lead to salvation"...words that Trent and Blazing Star find difficult to believe as they are faced with one hardship after another in the endeavor to capture their dreams. Will their friendship survive such trials and tribulations?
