What a surprise this was to find in my email.

She always leaves me little surprises that have a way of making my day.

I just got back from my Composition class...got back a paper that Sarah helped me on..I made an A!!!

Plus got results of mid-term...I got 88 out of possible 90 points on it...my overall grade is 99%...woohoo...

As most know my family and friends are all in Texas. I have a couple friends here in Iowa but...
I value my friends here at WDC so much. THey are here for me to encourage me, help me, listen to me....YOU guys know who you are. I don't know what I would do without you all!

Been workign on a contest for my Simply Everthying group and it is realy falling in to place well...thanks all who are participating. Especially you Trish!!

I'm off to try and sleep for about an hour and a half before I head to work.

I haven't been to a roller rink in years. This one has been closed down for years, they have recently just started openening it for a few hours on Saturday...it was packed with young kids. And a few old ones looking for their youth...lol

It was okay, the kids loved it. Our time got cut short because Caitlyn had to babysit...Wow, how weird is that my baby is babysitting....

I'm off to watch a few movies.

 

Recently, I was diagnosed with A. A. A. D. D.
Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder.

This is how it manifests:

I decide to water my garden.

As I turn on the hose in the driveway, I look over at my car and decide my car needs washing.

As I start toward the garage, I notice that there is mail on the porch table that I brought up from the mail box earlier.

I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car.

I lay my car keys down on the table, put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table, and notice that the can is full.

So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the garbage first.

But then I think, since I'm going to be near the mailbox when I take out the garbage anyway, I may as well pay the bills first.

I take my check book off the table, and see that there is only one check left.

My extra checks are in my desk in the study, so I go inside the house to my desk where I find the can of Coke that I had been drinking.

I'm going to look for my checks, but first I need to push the Coke aside so that I don't accidentally knock it over. I realize the Coke is getting warm, and I decide I should put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold.

As I head toward the kitchen with the Coke, a vase of flowers on the counter catches my eye--they need to be watered.

I set the Coke down on the counter, and I discover my reading glasses that I've been searching for all morning.

I decide I better put them back on my desk, but first I'm
going to water the flowers.

I set the glasses back down on the counter, fill a container with water and suddenly I spot the TV remote. Someone left it on the kitchen table.

I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV, I will be
looking for the remote, but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, but first I'll water the flowers.

I pour some water in the flowers, but quite a bit of it spills on the floor.

So, I set the remote back down on the table, get some towels and wipe up the spill.

Then I head down the hall trying to remember what I was
planning to do.

At the end of the day: the driveway is flooded the car isn't washed, the bills aren't paid, there is a warm can of Coke sitting on the counter,there i s still only one check in my check book, I can't find the remote, I can't find my glasses, and I don't remember what I did with the car keys.

Then when I try to figure out why nothing got done today,
I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all day long,
and I'm really tired.

I realize this is a serious problem, and I'll try to get some help for it, but first I'll check my e-mail.

Nuns at the Hospital

A man suffered a serious heart attack and had bypass surgery. He awakened to find himself in the care of nuns at a Catholic hospital.
As he was recovering, a nun asked how he was going to pay the bill. He replied, in a raspy voice, "No health insurance."
The nun asked if he had money in the bank.He replied, "No money in the bank."
The nun asked, "Do you have a relative who could help you?"
He said, "Just a spinster sister, who is a nun."
The nun, slightly perturbed, said, "Nuns are not spinsters! Nuns are married to God."
The patient replied, "Then send the bill to my brother-in-law."

We didn't get the snow last night as thought, but it's coming down now...very nasty~~wet and mushy!
I was hoping for nice wheather for tomorrow, we are getting new carpet....I'm already anal about my house and cleanliness...I'm sure I will be stressed once the new carpet is down...My poor kids.

I'm starting to dread Monday...I don't want school to start back...

I got a neat email this morning about Mothers and this was in it....I love this and it fits my Mom so well:
A Mother like mine is more than a memory; She is a living presence.

I'm having so much fun doing NOTHING....

I have been off and on here most of the day (same as yesterday and Monday!)
I've gotten some reviews done and all my forums are caught up for my groups.
I even had time to review some newbies today.
I have both of my contests caught up. My weekly runs from Wednesdays to Wednesday and I'm actually going to pick winners and send the GPs off after I finish writing this.
(I can't remember the last time I did the winners on the same day!!)

I actually wrote a poem today and started a poll.

This week has shown me how much I hate being out of my home...even for school.
I just keep reminding myself it will pay off in the end.

I've started some of my Spring cleaning, but feels weird...it's going to snow tonight...So maybe I am rushing it.

So glad Spring Break is here!
I took last mid-term yesterday, I think I did pretty good on it.
So right now I have A's and B's...whcih is fine with me.
Jus thappy to have a week off...and I only work 3 of those nights!

It's so nice out today. I have been up about 5 hours..playing around here and straightening house in between...but I have to get out of here.....
My daughter and I are going out to eat and then to the park.

Hope all is having a good day.

I just took my Psych mid-term. I wanted an A but I think I made a B on it, which is ok. I have 2 more and I'll be through. Then Spring-Break...woo-hoo!

I'm not doing much of anything during break...kids school break is the week after so...we'll just stay at home and chill. I've got the carpet ordered and paid for to get my living room redone...so hopefully we can schedule this during my break.

I just finished walking on treadmill (I got it a couple of weeks ago.) I'm not walking on it as much as I wanted to, so I've got to schedule it in a little better. I always feel good while using it and after using it...just finding the time!

WEll, I'm off to eat lunch and back to school.
I'm off tonight, so maybe I can get some reviews done!

 

this morning.

I'm finishing the laundry, tyring to finish reviewing for my Newbie contest for February, watching a movie on Lifetime, the Iron Jawed Angels, and I just taught Caitlyn, my daughter, how to play the piano...well her keyboard. I showed her how to convert her Clarinet music for the keyboard. I played trombone as a kid, for 8 years. But also taught myself how to play simply pieces on the piano, clarinet and trumpet.

This movie I am watching is about Alice Paul(Hilary Swank...I love her acting.) I had to look online to find out more about Alice Paul and what she all did for women..
I wonder why I didn't learn about her in school......

Ok I'm off to review more...I just needed a little break.

Okay, I showed my slides this morning in Microbiology...we had the chance to get 26 point and I got them ALL!!
Woohoo, doing the biology dance...believe me you don't want to see the dance!

I skipped my sociology class.. ...a boring lecture and went to the video store.
I got 5 movies I had been wanting to see.
