"Think of a singing ball of bright fur..." What a great opening line for your tribble poem!

The smooth-flowing rhyme made your poem even more pleasant to read.

*Exclaim* THOUGHTS: Wow, this is certainly very beautiful poetry. This is the type of poem that makes your readers think deeply about your philosophical ideas.

*Star*FAVORITE PART: I enjoyed reading your poem. It goes far beyond a simple rhyming poem. Your poem showed incredible thought an talent. I enjoyed the 'cattle king' stanza the best of all!

It goes to prove that some things which people seem to think are important, are only small in the scheme of things, and don't last forever.

*Exclaim* THOUGHTS: This is a great idea for a poll. I often wonder which seasons people enjoy more. Some say summer is too hot, yet everyone always looks forward to it. Some miss the snow when they can't be in those areas in the winter. Many are eager for spring, and also love the colors of fall...

*Exclaim* THOUGHTS: Wow! Your eerie story made me shiver! I didn't even realize how captivated I was in reading it, until I had goosebumps! *Shock*

*Star*FAVORITE PART: I felt that your mesmerizing story was written like a master story-teller from beginning to end. This would be a great story at Halloween time.

I liked how you casually added details, which added to the eeriness of it. For example, the cat was found on Friday the 13th. Right away from the beginning, you set the mood for the rest of the story. It causes your readers to wonder what happens next.

It was a touching moment to read about the condition Meeka was in when Lenore found her. Your readers can understand that Lenore has a good heart to take the cat in and take care of her so well.

LOL I liked the humor when Rudolph wished the cat came with a mute button! Words like, 'yowling', make your readers imagine the cats voice.

I also laughed to myself when I read how it's told that some cats can train their humans! I can relate to that, as my Labrador certainly has me trained. She'll stand in a certain spot in the kitchen, and then I know to go to the dog biscuit jar...

Lenore thought Meeka had ties to the world of the supernatural. Gosh! What an ending! Rudolph became a believer at the end, didn't he! Great job in putting this story together. *Smile*

*Exclaim*It is said that time heals all wounds, and as you wrote in your poem, "...time will change and age may mend." Great wisdom there...

I enjoyed the mention of "lips of frost", as I felt it reflected the coldness of the December title.

I also enjoyed the gentle rhyme of your poem, and I liked the play on words, such as the cupid's dart. I thought that perhaps the c in Cupid should be capitalized. ...Anyway, those types of words added a bit of magical fantasy to your tender and bittersweet poetic words.

*Exclaim* THOUGHTS: Ah yes. I never thought about that before, but it's so true. In years past, people used to find just the right paper to compliment their thoughts. They used to find just the right pen to make their writing look so good...Maybe they even tinkered with calligraphy. Perfumed pens would scent colorful paper in the days gone by. Now, we have to make do with our emotionicons. *Smile*

I saw a whole book in the bookstore which listed and described text abbreviations. I did feel a bit 'out of the loop' as I paged through that book. *Blush*

Your poem is thought-provoking. Maybe some of us might pick up a pen and ink out some thoughts and feelings to our loved ones. My aunt might enjoy receiving a 'real letter' from me now and then.

You wrote..."Personal is not attached to a note./Emotions are cut down/ To some anecdote./Misunderstandings and hurt feelings abound." I always think similar to that! How often, when we don't actually see the person or hear their voice, we can easily misunderstand their meaning...Especially when, as you said, few characters are 'punched in'. *Exclaim* THOUGHTS: Let me be among the first to welcome you to WDC. I'm impressed to see so many wonderful items in your port already.

*Star*FAVORITE PART: I enjoy reading poems about the night sky. Your poem made me think about the many twinkling lights of the stars, and the soft glow of the night.

I liked the poetic words of your second stanza the best. Ironically, the first line of your poem was the only line which didn't read well to me...And that's also what you have in your brief introduction. It didn't at all take away from the beauty of your lovely poem. Very nice indeed...

*Idea*SUGGESTIONS: You didn't yet pick a genre for you poem. Right now, it is listed under 'other'. You might go back and edit and choose something...Romance...Fantasy...etc. This way, your poem will get more views when someone does a search.

Later, you might showcase your poem a bit more. It's a very pretty poem, so it would be well deserved to have a nice 'first' appearance. Perhaps think about centering your poem. Maybe experiment with the size or color of the font. At some point, you might go back and add a wondrous image...

*Exclaim* I enjoyed the touch of humor in your poem, especially the line, "Something old...Something new...Something blue..." LOL I wouldn't want that standing in my way! ...But then, Nero was trying to destroy the Earth! He got what he deserved. That was a good lesson to the enemies of the Doctor. *Bigsmile*

Nice conflict between the Doctor and Nero. Also, great to mention the black hole, Kirk, and the Federation along with all things 'Trek' related.

*Exclaim* It sounds like you have a feasible plan. The goals seem clear and you seem enthusiastic about following them.

A group where assignments lead to finishing a novel by a specific date, in your case September 15th, seems like a very creative and effective way of getting the job done.

Exercising while the baby takes a nap will give you an easy routine to follow.

Using the new baking gear you received for Christmas will lead to cakes you might be proud of. I used to love to make fancy things when my kids were little. I 'wore' my daughter in a baby backpack while she was three months to three years. She was always very delighted to watch me work from over my shoulder.

Good luck with your volunteer work. By asking to assist the head of your support group with her activities, your goal will turn into a reality.
