About Me:From 1983 until 1997, I was involved in some form of journalism: radio, newsprint or television. I produced national, state and local stories during my career. Won four state broadcasting awards and two print publishing honors. Retired to family life in 2006 to raise two kids. Freelance writing produces a modest amount of income. My doctor declared me legally blind in 2000 due to a genetic form of glaucoma that has been traced back over eight generations in my mother's family.
