CEO & Founder of http://www.creativewritinginstitute.com Writing tips abundant on my site and blog, http://www.deborahowen.wordpress.com.> Married all my life, fat, half blind and limping into the sunset, the one thing that remains static is my love of writing and educating those who are willing to learn. There's an art to learning, you know. It begins with humility & eagerness & it ends with the realization that you can never plummet the depths of the written word. Keep writing! Keep learning.
Type of Writer:
I'm a cross-over writer, which means I write in all types of genres but my main role is that of an educator.
Writing Style:
I have a simple, forthright style and rarely use more than two syllable words. Why? Because that's who I am - a simple lady.
Interests:
My husband and I live in an RV and we love it. We lived on the road for 5 yrs. but returned to care for our aging mothers. Life is not kind. It's painful to see them grow old and senile. When this part of life is passed, we hope to travel again.
I love the original trilogy by Ted Dekker. Awesome - and I've been studying A.J. Quillen, who is a master at characterization.
Favorite Music:
Southern gospel and easy listening music from the 50's and 60's.
Favorite Movies:
There are movies that I like better, but I think the greatest movie of all time (artistically speaking) is Gone With the Wind. What amazing characterization and plotline!
