| | About Me: | I'm a level 18 rogue with a wicked specialty in kukri knives...
Oh wait, that's just my pen and paper character. Actually, I'm a wife, mom, and nurse who writes because otherwise her head will explode. And believe it or not, most of my stuff doesn't involve elves or orcs. ;) | | Type of Writer: | Does seat-of-her-pants count as a type? | | Writing Style: | Fantasy. Or Scifi. Or maybe just whatever comes into my head. | | Interests: | Reading, writing, weapons, gardening, knitting (yep), babies, cooking, Bond movies, shoes, really good beer... | | Favorite Genres: | Fantasy, science fiction, and good westerns. And history. | | Favorite Books: | I can't fit this into just 250 characters!
Oh, go read "West With the Night" by Beryl Markham. | | Favorite Authors: | Nope, you can't force me to fit this into 250 characters, either. | | Favorite Poets: | Kipling, Tennyson (sappy, but has his moments), Frost, Chaucer, Byron, e.e. cummings, and I could go on. | | Favorite Quote: | "It is better to feel contrition than to be able to define it." - Thomas A'Kempis | | Favorite Music: | Does this mean to listen to or to perform?
I like everything but rap and opera. Well, some rap--there are certain Kid Rock songs that are a guilty pleasure to listen to when there are no tender ears around. And some opera--if you count Queen. | | Favorite Movies: | "The Quiet Man", "Double Indemnity", "The Boondock Saints", "Snatch", "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof", but most of all "On the Waterfront". Most of all in that movie, the sermon down in the hold of the ship. Wow. |
