 livelylinda's Biography
Gender:Female
Birthday:August 22 1948
Location:Beverly Hills, Florida
About Me:I am a 62 year old woman who already knows everything. And I'm a bit cocky and my daughter tells me that I am ornery. That is what getting old does to you. I just had my second open heart surgery and have been dealing with coronary artery heart disease for 16 years. I've lived a lot so have a lot to write about. Began writing in the early 1980's. Have my first book at the publisher's now, waiting for "mo' money" to complete the process. I'm a tough reviewer but it will be honest.
Type of Writer:I rarely write fiction. My poetry and short stories are about things I have experienced, see and that emotionally moved me.
Writing Style:It's according to what i am writing about. Each poem directs me to rather it should be rhyming, free verse, long or short.
Interests:Watching my grandchildren grow and in November, my first great-grandchild is due. I am involved in the leadership of my church, a Deacon, sing in the choir (not all that well) and involved in other aspects.
Favorite Genres:I write and review mostly poetry. Occasionally I will write or review s short story.
Favorite Books:I read constantly in my youth and young adulthood but rarely read a book other than a book of poetry now. Two favorites are: "Listen to the Warm" by Rod McKuen and "Crimson Whispers" by Susan Stumpf
Favorite Authors:Edgar Allen Poe, Stephen King. And many more.
Favorite Poets:Edgar Allen Poe, Rod McKuen, Susan Stumpf.
Favorite Quote:"Give sorrow words: the grief that does not speak Whispers the o'er-frought heart, and bids it break." Malcolm MacBeth
Favorite Music:1950's, 1960's, 1980's. I'm lost in the 60's. . .
Favorite Movies:"Casablanca", "Out of Africa", "Titanic" and many more.
