My lights gave a small flicker once--not enough to even shut my computer off. Later, I was without Internet access for about five minutes.
My porch hasn't collapsed, I'm warm, and have plenty to eat.
There will be one more line of the sleet and freezing rain coming through during the next couple of hours, give or take. After that, the worst of it will be over, and there will just be lots of snow tomorrow.

Sometime before the day is over, I'll actually be 58 years old and counting.
Although this is December 12, 2010, I'm actually still only 57 and counting, if you want to be technical about it.
I was actually born at 1:27 in the afternoon back in 1952. Since there have been time changes over the years, I don't even know if the current 1:27 p.m. was the 1:27 p.m. of that time in Anderson, Indiana USA.

Had modem trouble and was totally offline for at least a day-and-a-half.
Was writing my book and wrote "Aunt Kate" as part of the story--at which point my modem came alive again!
Coincidence?
I think not!!!
Have more to write later, God willing and my Internet connection stays stable, but I was wondering if anybody else was having trouble connecting to Facebook. Not sure if this is a technical problem or if somebody decided to become "offended" by me and report me.

On Saturday, I got somewhat domestic and cleaned up my bathroom as best as I could considering everything. I have a leak somewhere, so my toilet bowl gets at least somewhat rusty almost as soon as I get it cleaned. What I need to get is one of those Scrubbing Bubbles wands that helps to maintain my toilet's good looks between cleanings. I've never gotten one before, but I've seen them advertised on TV.

Right at the moment, I'm working on a project of making the WDC custom link option really work for me.
When I get it built (and, even then, it will be under construction), I'll be able to easily visit some of my other favorite sites while remaining right here at WDC!
