2012: The Year We Flip!
Time to reinvent, remap, and redress my approach to writing & life...before it's too late!

THANK YOU alfred booth, wanbli ska for the ribbon and continuous support!

(Formerly titled 2010: A New Odyssey...clearly it's too late for that.)

Lots to do before the Mayan calendar runs out. This blog will now become my bucket list. I've published before the year even starts. Next up, adopt a motherless duck and raise it to become a swan. Should be easy enough.

Reinventing myself from start to finish. I couldn't continue on the path I was on and needed a fresh start. This time around I want to put the focus on writing and the world outside of this community as it affects my life.

I realize now that I have been baring my chest a bit more, like I did when I was young and wanted approval from others. I do it now because I realize the fake me is so much more boring and unliberated than the real me. Time will tell if my open diary will be more appealing to readers.

3.  The Tiger TaleID #680116

The recent events surrounding Tiger Woods now peak my interest with the story of the doctor with a connection to him who has been caught with banned performance enhancing drugs.

This is conjecture on my part, but there have been some things about recent events that didn't add up. The peculiar events surrounding the car crash and the way it has been handled by himself and others led me to believe there was some things at work here the public wasn't allowed to see.

Now, Woods hasn't been directly linked to anything illegal. And the infidelity card has been played at a great cost to his reputation, but I wonder if it was the least of his concerns.

Without looking, what I recall from the reports about this doctor is that he was arrested back in October. If Woods had done something illegal and got wind of this, don't you think it would have sent him into a downward spiral. I wonder if Woods suffers from depression and mixed his drugs and alcohol recklessly or with reason. The guy who goes all out to protect his image caught doping?

It wouldn't be a far reach to think that the reason the stories of his infidelity got out was because reporters were trying to scoop this story, especially the NY Times which broke the news about the doctor who said he treated Woods. Woods' agent is already trying to discredit the story and attacking the press, another bad move.

Perhaps, that drug bust led to a chain reaction of events that take us to where we are now. Woods is in hiding somewhere, supposedly working on his marriage. But what if he was really getting away from golf to avoid the media and speculation about his connection to this doctor knowing the news was coming?

Perhaps, using the infidelity rap keeps the focus away from what he really fears. That might be why he's avoided public speaking and just went into hibernation?

I feel a lot of celebrities get away with the lifestyle Woods had because of their fame and money. And when one person was being paid to be kept silent, everyone got in line for a handout. Perhaps, all these people came out of the woodwork to detract from the news that might yet break about an involvement with HGH or other banned substances.

Personally, I hope my speculation is false. I can't help but be suspicious, because I feel celebrities do lead secret lives. And when we do find out about these kinds of scandals, a lot of work goes into misinforming the public. This guy is a billion dollar industry. There a lot of people who would pay a lot of money to make this go away. I think Woods has little control over his own image. That's why he has to hide now.

I go back and forth in my mind...which items should I preserve when my membership expires. Should I save the awarded items first, the most viewed or personal favorites?

I know I'm tired of looking at some of these. I do want the items that will best define me as a writer, most likely poet, here. I have some time to think it over.

I know there are works I want in permanent moratorium. Some, I wished I had never shared. But, I've kept those blemishes on the wall so all can see what defines me. There are more that have never seen the light of day. Too embarrassed to share the ones that I wasn't proud of, though I should. Maybe I would have learned more about myself, my writing, in the process.

Guess I'll never know.
