I know it's taking forever, but I do have half a chapter thirteen.
I'm just feeling a little bit lost at the moment.

I'm sticking at it, though. My main issue is the amount of uni work I'm being swamped with at the moment. Fingers crossed.
 

I've finally gotten started on Chapter 13 of Rebekah, after a very, very, very long dry spell in the creative department of my brain. I've only written about 500 words, and they're pretty bad ones at that, but I'm feeling quite good about where this one's going -- I think it should be quite interesting (for anyone who's actually interested in the ramblings of my imagination that is Rebekah). I think that the time away has actually done me some good, and I've got a bit of a picture in my mind of what's going to happen over the next few chapters (which is more than I usually have). Hopefully I'll be able to upload it by next month's deadline, and then the next one, and the next one, and the one after that, and as many as it takes for me to finish this thing.

Oh, and, not to get you too excited, but I'm hoping that soon I'll be posting a couple of chapters a month, so just about one every two weeks, give or take a few days. That could be a while off though, and it might be a bit optimistic of me to hope for that, but I'm really trying to dedicate myself to churning out this story at a much more regular pace than I have been doing. This might not happen for quite a while, mind you, but I thought I'd mention it.

Oh, and, interested in hearing anyone's take on what's going to happen in the next chapter, or further on in the story if you like. I'd really really love to hear what people are expecting -- and what they're not. Any and all feedback is forever loved and appreciated and taken extremely seriously, as always. (Seriously, it's like my favourite part of the day, hearing people's opinions on Rebekah, so fire away!)
 

Okay, this is for those of you who are wondering why I've been so slack with Rebekah, neglecting to update in over two months.
Believe me, I haven't forgotten. Much the opposite, actually. Not a day goes by that I don't ponder Rebekah, Riley, and Malachi. The simple fact is, I'm blocked. Yep, garden-variety writers block has struck again, crippling me halfway through another story. To those of you who've been dutifully waiting for the next installment: I'm truly sorry. Wondering what's going to happen next? Me too!!
Another reason that I haven't been able to put the time and effort into overcoming my block by simply pushing through it, is that I've just finished high school, moved from one side of Australia to the other, and started at university, all in the space of a couple of months!
The up side is that I'm doing a degree in creative writing, and absolutely loving it so far. I'm hoping that it will improve all of my writing (especially Rebekah) untold amounts.
So basically, the long and the short of it is this: I've been busy, and every time I open a blank page that could be the beginnings of Chapter 13, my mind goes blank. I have a general idea of what's about to happen, but the words just don't seem to be coming.
That said, I'm about to have another go at it. So you never know, something magical could be happening just this afternoon. Fingers crossed, eh?

Oh, another thing to those of you who've read all of Rebekah so far: I would LOVE some general feedback. So, I'm going to ask some questions, and if you could give your opinion on one of them, or more, that would be FANTASTIC, and I would promise to love you forever. :D

Okay so, here goes.

What do you think of Rebekah? Do you relate to her, understand why she does what she does etc etc.. or does she drive you mad, and her actions seem entirely unreasonable and fake?

(That one applies to all of the characters, really, but Bekah in particular.)

Riley, Malachi, or Aaron? (You know what I mean.)

I'm considering renaming Alex, as I'm not sure that her name fits. Also, I'm not sure about having two side-by-side characters called Aaron and Alex. Any suggestions?
