I miss Jon, too Daizy. I just wanted to leave a footprint in your blog. I hope you will give us an update soon. How goes the Greek? Be well, safe and happy in the Lord.
I am like you. I always have to figure out a way to make things work and then after I make it work, I have to try to improve on that. I am a perfectionist. It can be good but it can drive you crazy.
I learned early in life to let God have control of my life but other than that I have always said "If there is a will, there is a way". If someone says it will not fit, I say Oh yes it will. And I always make it fit. LOL. : )
I usually don't like to read just for entertainment only but your blogs are entertaining and edifying. That is the way I like. If I am not learning when I do something, then I would rather not read it or do it. That is the teacher in me.
I am just reading your blogs for the first time because I just found this site this morning. I was looking for a Christian writer to corresponde with or at least read and relate to thier posts and writings. I am a born again Christian and I love to write. I love to teach and study God's word even more.
I was reading your scripture for the summer in Philippians and it caught my eye because Philippians is my favorite book in the Bible. My favorite verse is Phillippians 4.8 Php 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
I love that verse because it is the answer to a lot of our problems we face today if you think about it. It covers depression, loneliness (as you wrote of earlier) jealousness, hatred, discontentment, and etc. If a person was to think like that verse says to then we would all be a lot happier and know how to get along even with other countries like Irag.
I am glad I found your blog and I look forward to reading more from you. It sounds like we might have some things in common althought I am allergic to daisies. LOL : ) Sorry.
I do have a question if you don't mind me asking and feel free not to respond if you do not wish to. If you live at that camp year round how do you ever see or have a relationship with your husband and son? I coundn't imagine doing that. I would have them come live with me. I have been married for 22 years and have two older children. One son is 16 and my daughter is 21 and getting married in Feb. I enjoy my time alone but only limited. I am sure you understand.
I hope to hear from you. My email address is collegemom@Writing.com I think. I just made it today. I have another one that is phillippians-4.8@hotmail.com But notice it has two ll's instead of one l.
I'm still flabbergasted that you met Alana and Mitchell!!!!!!!! My husband just arrived yesterday afternoon and when I told him he shook his head and said "What a small small world we live in!!!"
My internet is working a wee bit better so I was able to come in and 'catch up' with your blog... this is a GREAT entry!!!!
I'm praying for you as you are in the busy season. I loved the analogy you drew from the cleaning of the showers and the christian walk. Wonderful insight.
