It's amazing the simple things that can really make us sit down and ponder life, and time... Sometimes we need time to be able to ponder things, because over time, the good equals out the bad, and in the end it changes us. If we looked at a shorter period of time then the equalization of good and bad wouldn't be there and our perspective on life would be skewed.

It's great that you got to talk with a friend via email, and I'm so happy that you've been able to do what you have in the last 2 years.

I COMPLETELY agree with you about a slower pace in life. It's easier to see the bigger picture and then focus in on what needs to be done one or two things at a time instead of having life just be a huge platter that is overflowing with things that need to get done. I started changing late last year and it's been slow since life has thrown me some lemons, but the changes in outlook are SOOO worth it. So glad you are seeing a positive impact in your life from this!

I bought into the slower lifestyle years ago. I purposely slowed down on many things and refuse to let busy things into my life. Everything is so hectic that it creates a horrible stress on us. Would I be farther along in life had I done things differently, probably, but I read somewhere that life isn't about the destination, but the journey. We are all going to the same place in the end. The grave....knowing that I want to enjoy the view and the rides on the way.

I think you will find a way to simplify and still get the most out of your life. Keep trying.

Hi all, I hope you're having a good weekend. The in-laws left about an hour and a half ago and I survived, so I thought I should drop in and let you know.

I'm down with my sinuses AGAIN. I just got over that darn infection and now I feel like I have a bunch of gunk in my throat. If I don't clear up more by tomorrow, they won't let me come into work. I have a few things I really want to get done in the office tomorrow, so we'll see.

Sorry there's not much to report today. I hope you all had a Happy Halloween and that November is off to a good start. And for those of you doing NaNo, best of luck to you! I hope you're full of inspiration and wonder today.

Enjoy what's left of your weekend and I'll see you later.
