Well, it's been one heck of a week for me. The good news is that I am getting progressively better EXCEPT that I can't seem to get rid of this stupid cough!

Last night I got so desperate that I took some cough medicine that I had from my bout with bronchitis earlier this year. By the way, I wasn't as sick with bronchitis as I've been with this mess. Anyway, turns out it had codine in it. Oops! I felt like crap the rest of the night. That stuff went directly in the trash this morning, did not pass Go, did not collect $200.00.

Anyway - before that medicine kicked me squarely where I don't need it any more, I did manage to get some stuff done. I made a few updates to my website. Check it out at http://www.sherrithewriter.weebly.com . I also got our finances balanced (no payday fell on this week so there wasn't much to that) and checked ALL of my E-mail accounts. I updated my computer files to my external hard drive and my flash drive. I was shutting down my trusty laptop when my head started swimming and that medicine knocked me out - but at least I accomplished what I wanted to get done before getting knocked out.

My writing and Quicken (for our finances) are on my laptop, so I still use it a lot. In fact, the whole situation has panned out pretty much as I figured. Rick uses the Mac and I use the laptop most of the time. I like the Mac, but the only thing I really use it for is to download music for my iPod, or if I want to check the web and I'm too lazy to take out my laptop. It's ok. When he uses the computer he's on the web most of the time. I use, well, pretty much everything and have it all on the Microsoft Office Suite. I think it's worked out well. At least we aren't pacing around the kitchen waiting on one another to use the computer anymore. I just hope that laptop has a lot of life left in it. I try to take very good care of it. I don't know why I'm telling you all of this. Just rambling I suppose. I've been doing a lot of that lately.

Sorry there's not much to report today. Truth be told, it's been a tough week for me, being sick and on the emotional rollar coaster I've been on. I'm exhausted and VERY glad the weekend is almost upon us. And it's sub day in the canteen. Oh boy! They make the best subs. I'll have myself down there in an hour and a half to get my ham sub. Yummy. Did I mention my appetite is back?
