50 years is a very long time though-I prefer (in the great Romantic Tradition) to think it was one individual, every year over the years, now gone on to the Night Shift himself or herself (sigh)

I guess it is just like with Elvis. People attach themselves to another and their hearts break when they have to be called 'home'. Yet, but what better place, so instead of mourning, I choose to honor him by remembering the good he has done...the 'gifts' he has honored us with through his music. Just my thought!

Rick Hautala's GHOSTLIGHT: compelling story of abusive family dynamics with some supernatural, but not enough to suit me
Now reading Patrick Whalen's OUT OF THE NIGHT: absolutely excellent writing, riveting, great characterization, believable supernatural horror.
PS: Finished OUT OF THE NIGHT last night (Saturday), what an outstanding book! Quality unexpected in a horror paperback, but well worth reading, not one disappointment throughout.
