50 years is a very long time though-I prefer (in the great Romantic Tradition) to think it was one individual, every year over the years, now gone on to the Night Shift himself or herself (sigh)

I guess it is just like with Elvis. People attach themselves to another and their hearts break when they have to be called 'home'.
