I maybe haven't had the chance to read too much of CLUB JUSTICE on WDC, but I was glad you let me take a look at your other stories, especially PET. Maybe you make a hit with those too and I can claim then I contributed... . That'd be even cooler than having my first real piece of WDC in my hands.

Your success is greatly justified and even more inspirational. I'm working on my 2010 NaNo again, intend to finish it with the intent to publish it this year (finish, not publish) not matter what comes.

Thanks, Nicki! I'm glad I could make you think. Your BLOG entries are always so thought provoking! As to book two ... I don't know if I told you, but I set the NaNo book aside again. Book two will be Mox's story instead. The problem is I have so many thoughts flying through my head that I'm struggling to get them down on paper! I'm hoping things will settle down and let me get in the flow.

What a great line of thought to follow and ponder today! I too look for the big, explosive event that shakes my characters to their core. But you're right, the dominoes effect can be just as jarring as each new tile slams to the floor. You've given me some interesting food for thought! Best wishes to your friend facing troubling times. Your new year IS off to a great start! My 2012 officially starts today, with the kids going back to school. On my to-do list is get out there in the freezing cold (6 degrees with the wind chill) and walk/run two miles, then open my WiP for the first time since November. Baby steps, but that's how I warm up the engines. Looking forward to a productive day. Hope yours is too!!

I'm sorry I can't help you with your publishing venues. I mused about it often myself, but a) never finished anything and b) didn't find the nerve to believe my twisted stories interest anyone.

However, I'm "suffering" from the same "problem" as you: I don't write genre specific, but merrily mix 'em, yay!

I did NaNo this year and out came a mix of mystery, romance, drama, comedy, erotica and "One flew over the cuckoo's nest". Try to marketing that.

What Nicki proposes, however, sounds very good. Also, I believe that you will make your way somehow ... it would be a shame if all that great stuff of yours wouldn't be recognized the way it deserves, means between two covers in a shrine, eh, bookshelf.
